Job summary

Hyde Park Surgery Center is hiring a Surgical Tech Coordinator (Lead Tech) to scrub for procedures and lead the surgical team in a 3-room outpatient center. The role uses aseptic technique, prepares instruments, and supports quality improvement while coordinating with physicians.

Weekdays only, no holidays or weekends; some early mornings or late evenings may occur. Qualification includes a surgical tech program or equivalent, required certification, and strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as required by state or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions, teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and acts as a lead tech on the team.
• Maintains a sterile field during procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgeries.
• Supports quality improvement activities and center goals.
• Collaborates with staff and physicians to ensure smooth flow.
