Job summary

Surgical Care Affiliates, LLC is seeking a Surgical Technician Lead to join our ASC team in Watchung, NJ. You will perform safe surgical scrubs across multiple specialties and work with a multidisciplinary team to support efficient procedures.

The role requires CST certification, current CPR, and 1–2 years of ASC or hospital experience. Strong interpersonal skills and infection-control knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required.
• Current CPR.
• 1-2 years ASC or hospital experience REQUIRED.
• Multispecialty surgical experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of typical OR equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct surgical scrub on all procedures as directed by the surgeon.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary care team and adhere to regulations.
• Ensure patient needs are met per physician and facility policies.
• Maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
• Coordinate with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director and Quality Committee(s).
• Ensure supplies, equipment and medications are assembled prior to procedures.
• Support cost containment and adherence to ASC standards.
• Promote a safe operating room environment and proper PPE use.
• Assist with operating room turnover times and post-procedure cleanup.
