Tampa General Hospital seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant Lead to provide intraoperative first-assist support across multiple surgical service lines, including open and minimally invasive procedures.

The role ensures instrument readiness and optimal case flow, while mentoring surgical technologists and students. Collaboration with surgeons, perioperative leadership, SPD and other departments is essential for high-quality patient care.

Competenze

• CFSA or CST program completion.
• BLS certification (ARC or AHA).
• CFSA certification through CAAHEP.
• CFSA certification through ABHES.

Mansioni

• Provide intraoperative first-assist services across open and minimally invasive procedures.
• Ensure readiness and proper function of instruments, supplies and equipment before, during and after procedures.
• Support team efficiency, patient safety and optimal case flow.
