Job summary

Aspire Surgical in Lehi, Utah, is seeking a Lead Surgical Assistant to join our specialty practice. The role supports the oral surgeon during dental procedures, prepares instruments, maintains safety, and leads the clinical team.

We seek detail-oriented, adaptable professionals who provide outstanding patient care, ensure comfort, and uphold high standards of sterilization and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Dental Assistant program preferred.
• CPR certification up to date.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment to ensure a sterile environment.
• Escort patients to the operatory in a timely, professional manner.
• Help patients feel comfortable and informed before, during, and after treatment.
• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing necessary materials.
• Prepare patients for surgery, monitor vital signs, and assist in anesthesia administration to ensure safety.
• Verify patient medical history and ensure records are updated.
• Document surgical details and updates in the patient’s EHR.
