Job summary

The Defense Logistics Agency in Ogden, Utah seeks a Supervisory Supply Technician to lead an organizational unit and oversee complex clerical, technical, and administrative tasks within supply distribution operations.

You will ensure efficient allocation of assets, supervise staff, and support DoD programs through effective storage and distribution practices, while maintaining compliance with job requirements and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at GS-07 level or equivalent.
• Reviews distribution patterns, geographical location, pipeline time, transportation requirements and storage mission patterns.
• Experience in the administrative and technical nature of Distribution Supply Operations and Programs.
• Education: graduate education may be credited in few instances where directly related to the work.

Responsibilities

• Directs organizational unit operations through subordinates performing complex clerical, technical, and administrative assignments.
• Responsible for assigned program segment providing services in support of supply distribution program related to supply support operations.
• Conducts continuing review and analysis of assigned operational area and evaluates the effectiveness of work operations.
• Exercises control over the supply and distribution of assigned items to ensure optimum utilization of current assets, specialized storage activities, and rapid reaction time in support of DoD programs.
• Serves as a supervisor of an organizational unit.
