Job summary

USA GPC Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer to analyze and improve distribution center processes using data, technology, and continuous improvement methods. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support strategic supply chain initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years in distribution or fulfillment, and experience with WMS/TMS/LMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industrial engineering experience (Distribution or Fulfillment).
• Exposure to operations labor and capacity planning.
• Experience with productivity rates, labor savings analysis, engineering standards, and process improvement.
• Experience in Distribution or Fulfillment facility operations.
• Experience with Supply Chain systems, WMS, LMS, TMS, etc.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Experience with Good to Person (GTP) warehouse automation and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of DC Operations to identify optimization opportunities to improve flow, throughput, capacity, productivity, and OEE.
• Establishing and document standards for supply chain facilities.
• Development and updating of DC capacities in storage and processing.
• Flow analysis.
• Bottleneck analysis.
• Cycle time analysis.
• Time and motion studies.
• Inventory slotting.
• CAD drawing update and revisions.
• Manage multiple projects from concept to execution.
• Support the needs of the business for Operations Excellence.
