Job summary

Gallagher Paint & Paper is seeking an experienced Superintendent for high-end residential painting and wallcoverings in the Chicago North Shore area. This hands-on role requires leading from the front, managing crews and subcontractors, and delivering superior craftsmanship for luxury homes.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in residential trades, proven leadership, and a track record of keeping projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in residential painting, wallcoverings, drywall finishing, or related trades.
Experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, Project Manager, or Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple residential painting and wallpaper projects simultaneously.
Coordinate and supervise painters, wallpaper installers, drywall technicians, and subcontractors.
Conduct daily jobsite visits and quality inspections.
Review project schedules and ensure jobs stay on time and on budget.
Order and manage materials, equipment, and deliveries.
Maintain clean, organized, professional jobsites.
Communicate directly with homeowners, designers, project managers, and office staff.
Identify and resolve field issues before they become problems.
Train and develop field personnel.
Ensure all work meets Gallagher Paint & Paper quality standards.
Perform final walkthroughs and punch list completion.
