Location

This is an in-person, field-based role serving high-end residential projects throughout the North Shore and greater Chicagoland area, with the company based in Northbrook, IL.

Job Description

• Lead painters and helpers on high-end residential job sites from start to finish.
• Oversee daily job-site execution, prep work, painting, finishing, cleanliness, and quality control.
• Deliver top-tier interior and exterior finishes with a strong focus on detail, protection, and presentation.
• Manage cabinet refinishing, spray finishes, trim work, masking, containment, and fine finish standards.
• Support wallpaper and specialty finish work while maintaining premium residential expectations.
• Communicate professionally with project managers, homeowners, designers, and crew members.
• Keep jobs moving on schedule while identifying issues before they become callbacks.
• Train, coach, and develop painters while holding the team accountable to high standards.
• Complete final walkthroughs and ensure every project meets company quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and highly professional job site in occupied homes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional painting experience.
• Proven experience leading painters, helpers, or field crews.
• Strong background in high-end residential painting, prep, patching, sanding, skim coating, masking, and finish systems.
• Cabinet refinishing, spray finish, fine trim, high-gloss, or specialty finish experience strongly preferred.
• Wallpaper installation experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with homeowners, project managers, designers, and field teams.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Dependable, organized, detail-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of job-site results.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain professionalism in occupied homes.
• Union experience is a major plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
