You will direct day-to-day site operations, supervise subs and crews, review drawings and method statements, and manage site logistics, progress, and documentation.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of complex construction projects from mobilisation through completion. The successful candidate will provide strong field leadership, coordinate multiple project teams, and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and applicable regulations. This role will suit a confident construction professional who can build effective relationships with trade partners, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include directing day-to-day site operations; supervising general superintendents, site supervisors, subcontractors, and construction personnel; reviewing drawings, specifications, and method statements; coordinating site logistics, sequencing, and resource allocation; and monitoring progress against the programme. You will lead regular coordination and progress meetings, identify and resolve construction issues, manage inspections and quality-control processes, and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation. The role will also require proactive management of health, safety, and environmental standards, including the implementation of site procedures, audits, toolbox talks, and corrective actions. You will work closely with project management and commercial teams to support cost control, variations, forecasting, commissioning, and successful handover.
Applicants should have substantial experience leading construction delivery on major, technically complex, or multi-phase projects, with a strong understanding of construction methodology, programme management, quality assurance, and site safety requirements. Relevant trade qualifications, technical training, or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable. You will need excellent communication, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to remain calm under pressure and influence teams at all levels. A collaborative leadership style, high attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding project outcomes are essential. The successful candidate must be willing to work on site and travel or relocate as required by project demands.
