C. Herman Construction seeks an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee ground-up multi-family projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will supervise subcontractors, manage on-site operations, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Applicants should have 10+ years in the multi-family sector and demonstrated leadership and communication skills. The role collaborates with the assistant superintendent and project manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
Ability to read plans and contracts and interpret documents.
Experience with Procore or similar PM software.
10+ years in ground-up, multi-family projects (100+ units).

Responsibilities

Maintain construction schedule and sequencing of activities.
Meet or beat all construction milestones.
Ensure safety policies on site.
Coordinate materials deliveries and site inspections.
Monitor subcontractors and laborers for compliance and budgets.
Complete required documentation of project progression.
Maintain and implement quality control plan.
Manage on-site personnel and foster a positive work environment.
Ensure site security at close of day.

WhatWeAreLookingFor

C. Herman Construction has an immediate opening for an experienced lead superintendent with ground up, multi-family experience. The idea candidate is a problem solver, responsible for overall onsite management of the project from inception to final acceptance. The Lead Superintendent will provide supervision and leadership of subcontractors and ensure safe conditions on the job site at all times.

The Superintendent will work closely with the assistant superintendent and project manager. Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience within the multifamily sector as a construction supervisor with a proven background. You will have exceptional communication skills, strong leadership, and the ability to multitask.

Completerequireddocumentationofprojectprogression.
Maintainandimplementqualitycontrolplan.
Manageon-siteassignedpersonnel,providingapositiveworkenvironmentforprofessionalandpersonalgrowth.
Ensure that the project site and its contents are secured at the close of each working day. Maintain a clean and orderly site during the construction process.

10+ years of progressive experience with ground-up, multi-family projects of 100 units or greater, ideally as a Lead Superintendent, or in a similar position. Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.

Requirements

Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
Proficiency with reading, understanding, and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, contracts, and other documents.
Demonstrated ability to professionally resolve issues with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties in a timely manner.Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook
