Qualifications

Job Title: PDS 3 / Power Delivery Substation

Ideal candidate must be able to produce deliverables associated with substation Protection & Control (P&C) design projects. This includes single line diagrams, three line diagrams, panel layouts, AC & DC schematics, equipment and switchboard wiring diagrams, bills of material, vendor drawings, and logic diagrams using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.

The candidate should have a design background in either substation protective relaying or power plant instrumentation & control design. The ideal candidate must have the skills to lead design efforts on projects involving medium and high voltage substation relay replacements/retrofits and new installations. Experience in completing projects from start to finish with minimal guidance is essential. Responsibilities also include mentoring and monitoring project budgets and schedules.

• Ability to communicate across multiple design disciplines.
• Experience with SEL, GE, Beckwith, Basler, and ABB relays is a plus.

• Ability to mentor and train entry-level protection engineers and designers.
• Willingness to conduct site walkdowns to support design and construction phases.
