Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager with substation expertise to join our Power Delivery team in Kentucky.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams from initiation to closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met while delivering value to clients. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 6+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction and high voltage substations, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant project experience including heavy industrial construction and high voltage substations.
• Experience engaging with and leading engineering/design projects.
• PMP preferred but not required.
• Understanding PMI methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning/engineering/construction teams in substation projects.
• Develop and manage key project documents such as Project Execution Plans and Communication Plans.
• Drive scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate design and construction activities with clients and internal teams.
• Attend client meetings and substation site visits while complying with safety protocols.
• Monitor schedules and budgets and manage risks.
