Job summary

ANS is seeking an experienced Substation Physical - Project Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Denver, CO. You will contribute to solar and battery energy storage projects and utility interconnections, working under seasoned engineers.

You will lead design efforts, review plans and drawings, apply electrical engineering standards, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with stakeholders across geographies. Travel up to 25% and a valid passport are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; power-focused programs preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of substation design and engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and hold a passport.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the engineering team and project delivery.
• Collaborate across departments and geographies to meet client needs.
• Review plans and drawings, ensuring code compliance and quality.
• Develop and evaluate design options to resolve constructability challenges.
• Manage multiple project schedules and budgets with project managers.
• Lead client interactions to answer technical and business questions.
