Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. in Warrendale, PA seeks a Project Engineer II to lead HV substation projects, coordinating design and external consultants.

You will review orders, develop engineering tasks for design, construction, and testing, and provide field oversight and training. Requires a Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering and 5+ years in a project environment, with strong communication, CAD proficiency, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in a project environment.
• Knowledge of real power (MW) and reactive power (Mvar).
• Experience with substation equipment, instrumentation, structures, conductors, and relay protection.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and coordinate components and systems for HV substation projects.
• Review orders to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Develop and execute engineering tasks for design, construction, and testing of substation projects.
• Prepare or supervise preparation of drawings and documents.
• Provide field oversight during installation and testing.
• Prepare and present customer training.
• Provide expertise and support in multiple disciplines to other engineers.
• Resolve customer and supplier technical questions and support sales with technical comments.
