The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in substation design, be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and exhibit strong visualization skills. Qualifications

• 15 or more years of substation physical design experience.
• Familiar with ground-based Lidar, converting point cloud information to vector.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review substation drawings including general arrangement and equipment plans.
• Coordinate project team comments on vendor design deliverables.
• Conduct field walkdowns and gather data at client facilities.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation)

Ability to visualize Equipment Details

Ability to multi-task from project to project

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without a computer

Education

Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience
