Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead Substation Electrical Engineer for Reading, PA, to provide expert engineering support for substation facilities designed for 69kV and higher. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, supervise engineers, and ensure compliance with Worley and client standards.

The role involves site walkdowns, development of drawings and specifications, and input to client presentations. A PE license and 12+ years in substation design are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 12+ years of substation design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is required.
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis tools (ETAP, CYME, SKM).
• Strong leadership and supervision capabilities on multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design substations for 69kV and above including switchyards and related structures.
• Prepare specifications and provide procurement support.
• Create engineering drawings including layouts, grounding, lighting, and control buildings.
• Lead and coordinate engineers and designers to deliver high-quality deliverables.
• Travel to job sites for site walkdowns and client reviews.
