Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Physical Substation Engineer to lead substation design projects from concept to commissioning. You will act as a technical expert, mentor engineers and technicians, and work directly with customers to deliver engineered solutions.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years in power systems, strong design skills, and a willingness to travel ~25%. PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in power systems or substation engineering.
• Strong design expertise and customer-facing experience.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• PE license preferred.

• Lead and contribute to physical substation design projects from concept through commissioning.
