Job summary

PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF is seeking a Supervisory Engineering Technician to lead testing and work control for submarine maintenance and modernization. The role centers on coordinating test programs, scheduling, and overseeing a team of engineers and technicians in a high-demand naval environment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical engineering project oversight during ship/submarine repair or overhaul.

Responsibilities

Serve as principal contact and technical specialist on non-nuclear system testing and work control programs of an assigned submarine undergoing maintenance/modernization.
Plan, develop, and coordinate preparation of a complete test and work control program for integrated ship systems testing and work control.
Formulate an integrated test schedule and review preliminary work packages.
Review the Integrated Overhaul Test Program to ensure adequacy of testing authorized in one final package.
Plan and develop ancillary schedules for hydro-static, flush, and operational testing.
Direct, evaluate, and assign the work activities of assigned group of subordinates.
