Job summary

PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF is seeking a Supervisory Engineering Technician to lead testing and work control for submarine maintenance and modernization. The role centers on coordinating test programs, scheduling, and overseeing a team of engineers and technicians in a high-demand naval environment.

Qualifications

  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical engineering project oversight during ship/submarine repair or overhaul.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as principal contact and technical specialist on non-nuclear system testing and work control programs of an assigned submarine undergoing maintenance/modernization.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate preparation of a complete test and work control program for integrated ship systems testing and work control.
  • Formulate an integrated test schedule and review preliminary work packages.
  • Review the Integrated Overhaul Test Program to ensure adequacy of testing authorized in one final package.
  • Plan and develop ancillary schedules for hydro-static, flush, and operational testing.
  • Direct, evaluate, and assign the work activities of assigned group of subordinates.
