Job summary

The Council on Foreign Relations in New York City seeks an Associate Director to lead the CFR Outreach Students and Educators Initiative, developing programming that connects CFR experts with colleges, educators, and administrators across the country.

You will manage day-to-day operations, frame event agendas, oversee budgets and partnerships, and collaborate with senior leadership on strategy to broaden CFR's engagement with academia.

Qualifications

• BA in international relations or related field required.
• MA preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CFR Students and Educators Initiative and its program offerings nationwide.
• Frame event agendas and generate speaker/topic ideas for virtual and in-person events.
• Manage contracts, catering, correspondence, meeting materials, and reports.
• Oversee day-to-day workflow for the initiative and one staffer.
• Monitor, report, and advise on the initiative budget.
• Collaborate on outreach strategy with senior leadership.
