Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Hartford Service Center seeks a Lead Structures Technician to perform maintenance and structural sheet metal work on customer aircraft. You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and modify components, and assist with off-site maintenance and complex repairs as needed.
Applicants should have sheet metal aircraft training and 5+ years of related experience, with the ability to interpret drawings, use basic tools, and obtain GSE qualifications.

You have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling
You typically have at least 3 years working with Corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair / modification
You typically have at least 5 years of experience in structural sheet metal, repair/modification, or a closely related field
You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
You own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory and control of tools
You have the ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required
You are able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays
You are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
You have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable
You have an A Certification, A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate (preferred) You have basic PC skills
