Job summary

C2 Technology Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking experienced installers to build out UTP, fiber, and copper cabling infrastructure on commercial projects. You will test links, document QA, and coordinate with project managers and engineers.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in low-voltage/telecom, familiarity with LAN, security, and A/V cabling, and be able to lift 60 lbs. Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills required; drug screen and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in low-voltage/telecommunications.
• Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and A/V cabling.
• Proficiency with test equipment and industry certification tools.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and English literacy.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

• Complete installation documentation and quality assurance reports
• Conduct site surveys, plan tasks, and coordinate with project managers and engineers
• Lead and manage a crew of installers in the field

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in low-voltage / telecommunications
• Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video cabling
• Proficiency with industry-recognized certification tools, test equipment, and processes
• BICSI credentials are a plus
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; perform basic math; and distinguish industry color codes
• Valid driver\'s license with acceptable driving record
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures
• Verifiable experience and character references required

Pre-hire drug screen, background, and DMV checks required. Pay is based on knowledge, experience, and ability.
