Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Structural Welder for the night shift at our Starbase launch site. The role involves leading the welding team, coordinating tasks, and ensuring high quality welds on piping and structural steel for site infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of structural welding experience, knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy, and the ability to work in a high-paced, safety-conscious environment. Overtime and night shifts are required where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of structural welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and offer daily support to the welding team
• Orient new team members; assist in scheduling daily work assignments and procedures
• Coach, mentor, and train team members
• Report status to leadership and customers
• Ensure safety, quality, and throughput on welding projects
• Complete welding assignments for site structural stands on time and safely
• Coordinate with support groups and engineering on weld procedures
