Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a seasoned Structural Project Engineer for our Sacramento office. You will lead design efforts on commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects, owning projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers.

Applicants should have six or more years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with major structural software. This role emphasizes client interaction, cost-conscious design, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • PE license required.
  • Six+ years of structural engineering design experience leading projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural analysis and design on diverse projects from concept to construction.
  • Develop structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents with full code compliance.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEPs, and contractors for project alignment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review their work for quality and consistency.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget with proactive client communication.
