Job summary

The role requires a BS in civil/structural engineering with 4–5 years of building design experience, and preferrs a MS or PE/SE licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent required.
• MS in Structural Engineering preferred.
• PE License preferred.
• SE License and/or SE Exam preferred.
• 4 years of experience minimum; 5 preferred in building design consulting.
• Proficiency in design techniques and production of technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills across mechanics, materials, load paths, and design standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly.
• Team collaboration and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts and collaborate with staff to deliver structural solutions.
• Work with engineers, consultants, and clients for analysis, design, and oversight.
• Support design for analysis and design using engineering software.
• Gather project requirements and communicate technical information to clients.
• Lead planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring progress.
• Analyze problems and propose innovative solutions with senior staff.
• Provide in-process design reviews and ensure quality control.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated solutions.
• Oversee projects through life cycle including construction documents and site observations.
