Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Urbandale, Iowa team. You will lead design efforts and collaborate with staff to deliver innovative structural solutions for buildings and other structures.

Responsibilities include analysis, design, construction documents, and construction administration with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. A BS in engineering is required with PE/SE options preferred and 4+ years in building design consulting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required.
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
• Structural Engineer (SE) License and/or SE Exam preferred.
• 4 years minimum experience, 5 preferred, in building design consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for structural systems using engineering software and tools.
• Interact with clients to gather project requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and budget.
• Provide in-process design reviews and ensure quality control.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovative materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.
• Oversee projects through life cycle, including construction administration.
