Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is seeking experienced Industrial Structural Iron Workers to construct iron/steel structures to specifications in Texas. RCI offers multiple lead and ongoing positions depending on experience, with emphasis on safety, drawings understanding, and precise fabrication.

Qualifications

• Must possess all knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
• Familiar with structural steel piece marks and erection drawings.
• Must meet all safety and security requirements of the job site.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 300 feet and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read engineered drawings and specifications to determine scope, quantities and sizes.
• Identify tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions to eliminate risks.
• Fabricate steel or equipment per drawings or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
• Verify alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, lasers or levels.
• Connect columns, beams and girders with bolts per drawings.
• Bolt aligned structural steel for riveting or bolting.
• Move iron/steel pieces using torches, shears and welding equipment.
