Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join the Property & Buildings team in San Diego and Irvine, CA. You will lead high‑level design efforts, supervise multiple projects, mentor engineers, and ensure quality deliverables that meet code requirements.

California SE license (or ability to obtain within 1 year) and 7–10 years of structural design experience across healthcare, education, and commercial markets; proficiency with ETABS, RAM, BIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• California SE License or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in structural design and seismic strengthening.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-level structural design and analysis for complex building projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical QA/QC.
