Job summary

Worley is seeking a senior structural engineer to provide leadership and delivery of structural engineering services for Worley and its clients. You will supervise projects, develop detailed designs, prepare calculations and reports, and review drawings for concrete and steel structures.

With 12+ years in the field and a strong grasp of codes and standards, you will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, support procurement and commissioning, and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant discipline experience.
• Experience working in project leadership role.
• Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
• Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
• A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of structural engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Competent use of structural engineering specific software.
• Competent use of MS Office Suite.
• Substantial technical and practical experience in structural engineering in the same or similar industry with multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering services that meet Worley and its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Initiate, manage and supervise structural engineering project requirements.
• Design foundations and various reinforced concrete structures.
• Design steel structures, supports and racks.
• Review shop drawings and prepare detailed design, specifications, calculations and reports.
• Act as structural engineering Lead on specific projects when needed.
• Promote workshare and supervise progress on team projects.
• Ensure services meet regulatory requirements and project constraints.
• Keep up-to-date with developments and innovations in structural engineering.
