CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Gas Team in Hartford, CT, driving advanced designs and technical leadership for critical natural gas infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes safe, compliant, and forward-thinking gas solutions for communities.

You will lead complex designs, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to cost proposals, inspections, and QA/QC processes to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required.
• PE license required; NBIS certificate is a plus.
• Experience with structural inspections, report writing, and developing cost proposals for structural work preferred.
• Proven ability to develop structural solutions to unique utility attachment issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for gas infrastructure projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
• Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in critical gas systems.
• Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting reliable and cost-effective gas solutions.
• Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff.
