Lapeyre Stair is seeking a hands-on, highly technical engineering leader to own the full lifecycle from concept through fabrication and delivery for industrial stairs and related structural assemblies.

You will direct a small team of SolidWorks designers, work in CAD and ERP tools, and engage customers as Lead Engineer. Engineering at Lapeyre Stair drives confidence, manufacturability, margin, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years in industrial or structural fabrication engineering.
• Hands-on SolidWorks experience with assemblies, drawings, configurations.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Customer-facing engineering experience.
• ERP experience in manufacturing, Epicor preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as technical authority for stairs, platforms, handrails, and welded structures.
• Lead development and review of SolidWorks models and drawings for manufacturability.
• Establish engineering best practices for tolerances, welding, materials, and installation.
• Escalation point for complex engineering and production issues.
• Lead engineer on key accounts and high-complexity projects.
• Collaborate with customers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Partner with Sales for scoping, risk, and winning strategies.
• Coach and build team capability with ownership culture.
• Improve engineering systems and automation with SolidWorks, DriveWorks, ERP.
• Coordinate with fabrication/operations for production readiness and continuous improvement.
• Promote Lapeyre Continuous Improvement culture.
• Collaborate on product innovation.
