Job summary
Laitram LLC is looking for a highly technical engineering leader in New Orleans, Louisiana, to guide their engineering organization and serve as the senior technical authority on custom industrial stair systems. This critical role requires deep structural fabrication expertise and active customer interaction.
The successful candidate will lead a team of SolidWorks designers, ensuring high-quality development from concept to delivery while promoting continuous improvement across engineering and production.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or structural fabrication engineering.
- Deep hands-on experience with SolidWorks (assemblies, drawings, configurations).
- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering or design teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical authority for industrial stairs and welded assemblies.
- Lead development of SolidWorks models and fabrication drawings.
- Act as escalation point for engineering, design, and production issues.
