Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Leader in Structural Engineering in the Fairfax area to head our Structures team on transportation-focused projects.

You will lead a variety of structural pursuits, mentor junior engineers, and drive project delivery with a hands-on approach to bridge design and field operations. The role requires a PE (or ability to obtain within a year), a strong background in state and municipal projects, and an ability to develop creative technical solutions

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum (8) years of bridge design experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to attain within a year

Responsabilidades

• Lead our structural design and engineering group across state with development and delivery of structural assignments
• Assist with Business Development, Marketing and Team to secure future clients and workload
• Provide structural expertise on conceptual and detailed engineering designs and preparation of contract documents for construction
• Serve as Project/Program Manager on structure-related projects
• Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and plan approvals
• Serve as liaison between client and firm
• QA/QC for design work
• Provide bridge inspections for clients as needed
• Provide engineering judgement within Structural Engineering and mentor junior staff

WE ARE HIRING... an experienced Leader in Structural Engineering to join our team in the Fairfax office. As a senior member of our Structures team you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation. You should have stateand municipal experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands‑on experience with bridge design and field operations.

Essential Functions

• Assist in leading our structural design and engineering group throughout state with development and delivery of structural assignments
• Assist with Business Development, Marketing and Team to secure future clients and workload
• Provide structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
• Serve as Project/Program Manager on a variety of structure related projects
• Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates is a plus
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
• Serve as liaison between client and firm
• QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
• Provide bridge inspection for clients as needed
• Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field
• Hire, train, and mentor entry level and junior level structural engineers

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum (8) years of bridge design experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to attain within a year.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• DOT structures/bridge experience, including experience on DOT DB Projects
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
