Job summary

WSP USA is seeking Senior Structural Engineers for our National Aviation Business Line in Denver, Colorado to lead senior‑level structural engineering for aviation, transportation, and complex building projects from concept through completion.

You will oversee calculations, drawings, and specifications, apply advanced analysis methods, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring quality, constructability, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 5–7 years of relevant post-education experience in structural or civil design.
• Engineer license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems for steel, concrete, and composites.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a professional setting.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and manage project scope.

Responsibilities

• Direct project execution from concept through construction, including CD and construction administration.
• Oversee production of structural calculations, drawings, specs, and narratives.
• Apply advanced analysis methods and modeling techniques to complex designs.
• Serve as Lead Structural Engineer or Project Manager on mid to large projects.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multi-discipline teams.
• Develop constructible gravity and lateral systems considering site constraints.
• Perform site visits, field investigations, and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Prepare technical reports, and assist in proposal development and client interviews.
