Job summary

Selectek is seeking a Structural Design Technician to advance designs, coordinate with engineers and owner teams, and deliver detailed drawings across multiple project phases. The role emphasizes ownership, accuracy, and cross-discipline collaboration on varied projects.

The incumbent will develop deliverables such as models, plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents while supervising junior staff and assisting with design development under senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive modeling and drafting experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Extensive model review experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Ability to act as area or system lead designer.
• Thorough understanding of discipline requirements.
• Deep knowledge of structural and related disciplines.
• Ability to estimate scope, schedule, and budget impact.
• Identify scope creep early and escalate to project leadership.
• Provide leadership to junior staff while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates design of structural systems across projects.
• Prepares deliverables including models, plans, elevations, sections, schedules and details.
• Participates in design status updates and meetings with teams and clients.
• Reviews specifications and ensures quality designs.
• Coordinates designs and resolves conflicts between disciplines.
• Performs field survey of existing conditions and documents findings.
• Provides labor estimates for proposed tasks and tracks progress.
