Job summary

Selectek in Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA team. You will manage mission-critical projects from day one and coordinate with clients and multiple disciplines to ensure complete, construction-ready drawings.

You should have 5+ years of lead-level structural design experience, with proficiency in Revit and familiarity with RAM/SAP2000/RISA. PE licensure or progress toward it within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural engineering building design experience as a lead, ideally with large-scale commercial and/or data center projects.
• to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
• Proficiency in using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings
• Knowledge of RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA or another 3D design package
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Manage mission-critical projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to ensure proper implementation in design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
• Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
