Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Design Technician for our Structural engineering group. You will create, manage, and coordinate complex structural design models and construction documents, leading BIM/CAD efforts and mentoring junior designers to deliver code-compliant documents.

The role requires independent execution of advanced modeling tasks, collaboration with structural engineers, and strong coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in CAD, BIM, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–6 years of CAD/BIM design experience on building and infrastructure projects.
• Experience producing structural construction documents and coordinating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD/BIM models aligned with calculations and specs.
• Lead multi-disciplinary coordination to avoid clashes between structural and architectural/MEP/civil models.
• Prepare and review structural drawings for accuracy, constructability, and codes.
