Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plus 3 years experience in equipment operation or road maintenance.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training and experience considered.
• Valid State of Alabama driver's license and Alabama CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment and performs manual work on city streets, drainage, parks, and recreation facilities.
• Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, supplies and materials.
• Transports, loads and unloads materials and equipment for projects.
• Performs road construction, maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensures safety and responds to emergencies.
