Job summary

The City of Daphne is seeking a municipal maintenance worker to operate equipment for streets, drainage, parks, and related projects. The role involves manual labor, basic inventory checks, and assisting in events and traffic control.

You will maintain machinery, perform safety checks, and communicate with supervisors to ensure timely, quality work. A valid Alabama driver's license and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by one year or more experience in equipment operation, road maintenance, or landscaping.
• Ability to operate and control equipment and machinery accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and perform manual work on city streets, drainage systems, parks, and related areas.
• Check and maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and materials for projects.
• Transport, load and unload materials used in projects.
• Perform maintenance on machinery and tools to keep them operable.
• Assist with traffic control, events, and answer calls or requests as needed.
• Prepare forms, maintenance reports, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisor and other departments to review work status.
