Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior Stormwater and Civil/Site Engineer in Brentwood, TN to lead design tasks for municipal, state, and federal projects in transportation and civil/site sectors.

The role emphasizes drainage and stormwater systems, erosion control, and comprehensive civil/site design, with collaboration across the Earth & Environment Team. PE licensure and 5–7+ years of post-education experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; Masters preferred.
• 5-7+ years post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Licensure (PE).
• Experience with stormwater infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
• Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements.
• Strong communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Proficiency with technical writing, software, and modeling tools.
• Experience with ORD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks for municipal, state, and federal clients on transportation and civil/site projects.
• Perform civil site design and analysis (grading, drainage, site layout).
• Design drainage systems and stormwater reports; develop SWPPPs and hydrologic analyses.
• Prepare data visualizations, reports, sketches, calculations, and tables.
• Maintain quality control for measurements, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and professionals on project execution.
• Assist in development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.
• Travel may be required depending on project needs.
