Lead Stocker - Commissary (Military Grocery Store)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team to ensure items are properly stocked, organized, and maintained.
• Oversee the accurate placement of products, ensuring they are stored according to safety standards and temperature requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform stock rotation (FIFO), and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
• Train and mentor team members on stocking procedures, inventory management, and safety practices.
• Assist with unloading shipments, checking for damage, and proper storage.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment.
• Communicate issues to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure safety equipment and PPE are used as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Stocker in a grocery or similar setting.
• Knowledge of stock rotation (FIFO).
• Understanding of food safety standards.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a commissary.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (certification a plus).

Physical and Environmental Demands:
