Job summary

The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System seeks a Lead Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) to oversee the Sterile Processing Service. You will direct workload, guide staff, and ensure instruments are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and prepared for case carts.

As SME, you will train staff, monitor workflow, and enforce quality standards while coordinating with medical personnel on special requests and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Supervises MST staff and coordinates workload.
• Ensures decontamination, sterilization, and case cart assembly meet standards.
• Provides on-the-job training and guidance to MST staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct department operations during tour of duty.
• Monitor progress and report performance to management.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in SPS operations.
• Prepare production reports and time records as requested.
