Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role
  • Oversee daily operations of the central processing area, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct training and orientation for central processing staff.
  • Manage inventory and supplies in the processing areas.
  • Clean equipment and restock supplies promptly to meet patient needs.
  • Supervise staff assigned to the processing areas.
  • Develop and update tools for assembling instrument sets.
  • Perform quality monitoring and sterilization validation testing.
Qualifications needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and inventory management preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing/Central Processing Technician; experience managing inventories preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; in-depth knowledge of decontamination and sterilization equipment required; advanced instrumentation knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, supervise, communicate professionally, solve problems, and collaborate effectively.
