Job summary

Franciscan Health Crown Point is seeking a Lead CSP Technician to manage the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage and documentation of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. You will oversee case carts, inventory, and process controls in a hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate's degree and at least 1 year in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1 year of sterile processing or equivalent required.
• CRCST certification from HSPA is required.
• CSPDT certification from CBSPD is required.
• Endoscope Preprocessor certification from HSPA is required.
• CIS certification from HSPA is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate reusable equipment, instruments, and supplies both manually and mechanically.
• Assess supplies required for prescribed standard surgical procedures and set up case carts.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper handling procedures.
• Monitor, read, document, and interpret all parameters for sterilizers to ensure proper function.
• Perform emergency response duties as trained, per hospital policy.
• Participate in people management activities for unit team members, such as performance evaluations and interviews.
• Monitor unit operations and provide input on staff performance through feedback.
• Assemble instruments in trays following established listings and ensure proper packing.
