Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Medical Technologist to perform and analyze routine and advanced laboratory tests within licensure scope. You will ensure accuracy, quality, and timely results while supporting SOP development and inventory management.

Responsibilities include quality control, instrument maintenance, phlebotomy as needed, and clear communication with nurses and physicians. The role requires state licensure and relevant MT certification; day shift in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field with CLIA experience.
• State licensure as required by the service location.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze basic and advanced samples following SOPs.
• Contribute to SOP development and implementation for accuracy.
• Assist in development and evaluation of new test procedures.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies.
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment.
• Conduct phlebotomy as needed.
• Document findings and communicate results to clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety and infection control policies.
