Qualifications

• Criminal and Child Clearances must be current.
• 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
• Education degree or teaching experience recommended; candidates pursuing a degree in education will also be considered.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities.
• Weekday availability between 2.30pm to 6pm.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with Snapology policies.
• Encourage and monitor progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies.
• Prepare adequately for each program by reading curriculum and participating in training sessions.
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.
• Encourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programs.
• Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings.
