Job summary

Snapology of West Chester Township OH is seeking an After School Instructor to teach Snapology programs in a fun, engaging way and promote creativity, teamwork, and STEAM concepts for children aged 5–14.

The role requires collaboration with leadership, professionalism with parents and children, and a commitment to delivering high-quality programming. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and paid training.

Qualifications

• Criminal and Child Clearances current or willing to undergo screening
• 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
• Classroom teaching experience preferred; education degree considered for candidates
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
• Reliable transportation to transport materials and supplies
• Ability to lift 20 lbs without difficulty

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities
• Transport learning materials to class/workshop/field trip location
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies
• Prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and attending training sessions
• Handle inquiries from parents and encourage enrollment in future Snapology programs
• Participate in Snapology training and staff meetings as required
