Job summary

Tempco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled setup operator in Saint Paul, MN. You will set up and run large stamping presses, install progressive die tooling, and lead root-cause analyses to keep production flowing with high quality.

You will mentor Level I/II operators and update work instructions while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Candidates should have 3+ years in metal fabrication, superb blueprint interpretation, and a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in metal fabrication or closely related work.
• Expert-level knowledge of press setups and tooling.
• Fluency reading and interpreting complex blueprints.
• Ability to mentor Level I/II operators.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions with confidence.
• Set up and operate large stamping presses for quality and throughput.
• Install and dial in complex tooling, including progressive dies.
• Lead root-cause analysis and coordinate with toolroom and maintenance.
• Train and mentor operators and update work instructions.
• Enter production and quality data into the company system.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain organized area.
