Job summary

Google Workspace, a core productivity suite, is seeking a Senior Staff Data Scientist to lead measurement frameworks and data pipelines for AI-powered productivity across billions of users. You will partner with senior leaders to shape product strategy, evaluation, and data architecture.

The role emphasizes analytics leadership, modeling, and scalable data infrastructure to improve performance and product decisions across Workspace domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 13 years with a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead horizontal metric and evaluation frameworks quantifying engagement, productivity gains, and end-to-end system quality across GenAI models and AI pillars.
• Deliver clear, executive-ready insights guiding product roadmaps and resource allocation.
• Define upstream logging, scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and self-serve analytics across Workspace domains.
• Drive experimentation, observational causal inference, and rigorous model evaluations using AI models/tools and human rating systems.
