Job summary

Sports X seeks a Lead Sports Coach to inspire and lead our youth programs in an active, inclusive setting. The role involves coaching children across soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and pickleball, while ensuring safety and engagement.

You will supervise and mentor junior coaches, coordinate sessions, and maintain equipment and rosters. A passion for youth development and community impact is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong background in team leadership and program coordination.
• Demonstrated expertise in a specific sport and willingness to learn new sports.
• Prior experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings.
• Valid certifications including first aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain
• Must be local to Orange County and have own reliable transportation

• Help develop growth in other coaches, kids, and self growth in the Sports X philosophy through the implementation of sports programs for ages 2-14.
• Coordinate equipment, manage participant rosters, and oversee daily operations of sports sessions to ensure smooth execution.
• Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and staff to uphold high standards of coaching quality and safety protocols.
• Foster a positive environment by managing behavior, encouraging teamwork, and promoting good sportsmanship among participants.
• Communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and your manager to provide updates on progress, upcoming events, or concerns.
