Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator to lead an 8:1:2 classroom for a 2026-2027 leave replacement in Mt Vernon, NY. The role focuses on individualized, differentiated, and multisensory instruction aligned with each student’s IEP and classroom objectives.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals with fidelity, collecting data, maintaining schedules, and collaborating with classroom staff, families, and related service providers.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Certification in SWD (1-6, all grades or Permanent).
• Experience with IEP goals, data collection, and behavior supports preferred.
• Able to collaborate with school team, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead Special Education Teacher in an 8:1:2 classroom for the leave replacement.
• Develop and implement differentiated, multisensory instruction aligned with IEPs and standards.
• Create and maintain lesson plans, schedules, and routines addressing academic, communication, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
